My daughter made the Blueberry French Toast casserole for our crowd on Mother's day. It came out great! She had a little trouble figuring out the "scalding" part... and actually had to google the meaning of the word to decide if she had heated it enough. She realized she hadn't made it "angry" enough because it was too watery, so she put the mixture back on the stove until it thickened up more... We also used a bag of frozen mixed berries, with the bigger berries cut up a bit more, and added some nuts. Overall, it was a huge success. Not difficult to make. No one had to slave over the stove. And every bit was eaten!
Michelle, you really are the bomb. It did not occur to me (until I got the email prompt) that Mother's Day is coming, and you saved me some serious grief. xx
I'm in Minneapolis and Mother's Day weekend is the official start of farmers market season. We live a block from the biggest market and host my parents siblings and spouses for brunch which always involves buying our garden herbs and produce. We do potluck so everyone gets to contribute. Unless it's 100 degrees (unlikely this time of year) I was planning to make the artichoke pasta bake. But now I may have to rethink seeing this list of entrees!
I love the line up of events! Opening the farmers market season with Mother’s Day feels pretty perfect as does making it a potluck. You clearly know what you’re doing 💕
I think you just saved my marriage. Wife's birthday is right before Mother's day.... Always challenging. This year she gets a 5 course brunch, thanks to you.
I believe that. A party? No way. I had a friend who’s birthday was January 1. They tried to make it work for awhile and eventually just gave up trying to fight the new year for dominance

Amazing!!! I love that she figured it all out AND it was delicious 🫐

Hahaha, I’m so glad I saved you. That’s exactly why I decided to sent it randomly in the middle of the week lol
😇

I made Pasta and Ceci. Absolutely delicious. Truly delicious. Consistently of gourmet Mac and cheese and better tasting 🫶
I’m so glad you liked it. It’s a lowkey but beautiful dish.

My heart goes out to you. My birthday is December 23. It's a bad combo too lol
My birthday is December 28. I can tell you NOBODY wants to hear about a birthday smack between Christmas and New Year
I believe that. A party? No way. I had a friend who’s birthday was January 1. They tried to make it work for awhile and eventually just gave up trying to fight the new year for dominance
I’m December 31. Other than veryy happy to be here to celebrate, it sucks 😂
Parallel lives. Our wedding anniversary is Dec 21. It usually gets overlooked too.
Those strawberry rose pancakes are intensely tempting. In fact your entire post just made me hungry. Those photos look amazing.
They are disturbingly good, I promise you that. I get so hungry writing all this stuff too. It’s rough 😅
What I think is funny is I initially read "rosé" instead of "rose." What does that say about how my day is going? lol.
I’ve had 4 coffees! We’re all FRIEDDDDDD
4?! Wow. I would be sshhhakkking so hard if I had that much caffeine. :)
My mom requested the Mango Curry from the first book. It's a favorite around here.
She’s got great taste. That’s one of my forever favorites
Yummmmm
