Hey Pot Heads,

If you missed it, on Monday evening I sent out a master list of all the things those of us here in North America are stockpiling (within the limits of our razor thin budgets) to help protect us from all the dumbass shit that the US government is doing. Not only did I create a little shopping list, I also pooled all of your suggested retailers together so that all of us can get the best deals without supporting the very business leaders who are backing this turd of an administration. There are suggestions for how to store your goods in there as well and I will keep updating the list as more of you reach out with comments and suggestions. We know the road ahead is going to be difficult, but we can help each other take the edge off all the bullshit by staying prepared and sharing our knowledge. If you missed the email, catch up here.

Hey Pot Heads,

Now it’s time to cook some dinner. A few weeks ago, I extolled the virtues of rice so this week, I wanted to show you how to use my basic fried rice formula to make an endless number of affordable dinners by switching out the grains, veggies, and spicing. This method is great way to use leftover grains, veggies that look less than ideal, and it lets you get dinner on the table quickly. I love my baked fried rice from last year but think of this stovetop method as your “I don’t know what to make for dinner” go-to because it’s so malleable. Ok, let’s get into it.
